Every subject is covered, and nothing is taken for granted in the process; as a result, the book is self-contained and does not require using any other reference materials or textbooks.

It is, of course, still a fundamental work (it is inconceivable to cover such a big subject in the equivalent of approximately 600 printed pages).

Still, the level of depth is such that it makes it possible to acquire an unusual level of information regarding the subjects discussed.

In my own experience, I found the text to be quite helpful, not only for the ideal completion of my knowledge as a volunteer rescuer (to fully understand the reason for certain pathophysiological mechanisms that are not covered in basic training courses) but also in support of training courses (to aspiring volunteers) and first aid courses (to the population).
